Oaklands Chapel is a conservative evangelical church.

We are located 2 km from downtown Victoria on Fernwood Road. The church has functioned in the neighborhood for over 90 years and is committed to maintaining its witness here.

We are an independent church coming from the Open Brethren wing of the Christian (Plymouth) Brethren tradition. Theologically our beliefs are compatible with such groups as Fellowship Baptists, Evangelical Free, and Alliance Churches. (See our statement of faith).

We recognize Believer’s Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion) as the two ordinances Christ left his church.

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper weekly as a component of our Sunday Morning worship service.

We are non-Charismatic in the modern sense of the term, but firmly believe that God gives gifts of ministry to all his people.
