The purpose of the high school group ministry is to mentor and disciple high-school age teenagers (grades 9-12) who have professed faith in Christ, to build a safe, friendly community for any teen, and to provide opportunities for teens to reach out to their peers.
We do this through worship & teaching nights, crazy activity nights, road trips/conferences and service projects.
Our vision is for a group of teens who understand the foundations of their faith and are ready to serve the community around them and throughout the world.
Our High School group has attended "Rush", a retreat in Kelowna where the speaker spoke about the challenge of reaching out to the homeless & poor in our own cities. Also, some of our youth have gone on a mission’s trip to Port Renfrew.
Joint events with the middle-school age group occur through out the year, to facilitate wide games and other fun activities.
Our group continues to grow and we are hoping to go on at least one conference trip, have a mix of low-key and crazy events, and continue to grow our group through friendship, fun, and service!
